VSM at VIIF in Hanoi
Particularly when compared to the recent METALEX in neighbouring Thailand, which attracted 100,000 visitors and more than 3,000 exhibitors, the Vietnam International Industrial Fair (VIIF) is a rather more relaxed and yet very high-calibre event: The 6,000 visitors included many important decision-makers from manufacturing companies, who took the opportunity to test VSM's products and receive first-hand advice.
The focus in Hanoi was placed mainly on VSM CERAMICS. These self-sharpening ceramic-grain abrasives for high stock removal rates when processing high-alloyed steels and other very hard surfaces won over the expert guests. The XF870 fibre disc, for example, and the XK760K velour-backed disc: thanks to the micro-crystalline grain structure, their grains break more finely and with sharper edges. This in turn leads to lower working temperatures in the contact area, a significantly longer service life, and exceptionally aggressive grinding.
Amongst the VSM COMPACTGRAIN products on show was the KK712X abrasive belt. This compact-grain, long-term abrasive with continuous self-sharpening reduces grinding costs, since fewer tool changes are required. It stands for uniform workpiece surfaces and scratch depths combined with consistent stock removal.
The next VIIF is due to take place at the end of October 2019 in Hanoi, and VSM plans to be there once again as an exhibitor.
